Badenova is an energy and environmental service provider in the region of South Baden. The premises required a modern revamp by acquiring the best technology to replace old projectors.
The inside of the premises required up-to-date technology that was capable of replacing the old projectors with brighter, punchier images and videos. In addition to this, the space was already bright from natural daylight so the technology needed to be able to produce stand out content with lights on viewing.
Stefan Eckstein, Head of Building Management at Badenova said: “We have several conference rooms and meeting rooms here on the premises. About 15 years ago, projectors were installed in all these rooms which are now outdated and produce poor image quality. In this particular instance, we require modern technology to replace the projectors in the restaurant area. The technology must be capable of producing outstanding images and videos which positively reflect our company.”
Maik Kohlbecker, owner of the installation company Konferenzraum TV said: “Due to the high booking frequency of the room, it was important for us to select a system that was quick and easy to install.”
Professional installation company ‘Konferenzraum TV’ recommended Optoma’s FHDQ130 as the best solution for this project at the Badenova premises.
Set up in just three simple steps, the fully optimised 130” (2.88 x 1.62 m) Full HD 1080p LED display is an all-in-one solution. The display comprises a unique pre-build process where the installation time required is dramatically reduced.
Firstly, the display sections were connected and the display was then mounted. Following this, the tiles were then connected. which meant that the installation process was quick and easy and installed in just 6 hours.
Eckstein stated: “Our choice to go with the Optoma FHDQ130 was mainly down to its capabilities of producing such incredible image and video quality. There is a lot of daylight in the area and we needed the best technology that was capable of outshining natural, bright daylight.”
A range of connectivity and control options are available on the FHDQ130 including dual HDMI, USB, RS232, and HDBaseT. Also, users can take advantage of Optoma’s Control Q application to control the display from a smartphone or tablet.
The FHDQ130 also boasts an ECO friendly 0.5W standby mode, that conforms with ErP regulations and the ability to control the display from a central control system for reduced power consumption – saving on energy costs.
The entire installation process was a success with the LED display installed in as little as six hours.
Eckstein said: “We are using the FHDQ130 for high-quality training purposes which includes the use of PowerPoint presentations, films as well as a normal TV. All materials we present on this technology look sharp, colourful and have exceeded our expectations.”
Eckstein continued: “Everybody is very happy with the pictures shown on Optoma’s FHDQ130. Even with the lights left on, the images look amazing. Not only this but the technology is so quick and easy to start up.”
Kohlbecker concluded: “The FHDQ130 has gone beyond all the requirements and expectations from Badenova for this installation and the final result and quality of the product is very impressive.”
Eckstein explained: “We are planning to install another FHDQ130 and are already in discussion with our planning office, as we have the same needs in our other buildings as well. We are very happy with Optoma and the LED wall is spectacular.”
